Mission:
Deaf/Hard of Hearing Diabetes Support Group (DDSG) in the metro area of Saint Louis, MO was established in 2002 by Linda D. Blicharz. In memory of her, we continue to expand to educate the Deaf/Hard of Hearing community about diabetes and to share their diabetes experiences in our community.

Help Deaf/Hard of Hearing Diabetes individuals being educated to control and improve their quality of life. People affected by diabetes need a support system to guide them through diabetes experiences.

Reach out to the Deaf/Hard of Hearing community in great need on diabetes. DDSG promotes knowledge and awareness on diabetes also the preventions of diabetes in the sought community.

Make efforts to gain health professionals who are willing to donate their time and knowledge to our support group. Workshops and educational seminars given to our support group in finding essential research of diabetes.

Make sure all information about diabetes comes across to our support group by modes of interpreters, guest speakers of health professionals, hospitals, and all diabetes organizations especially the American Diabetes Association.

Location:
Our support group meets at our DCC location first Saturday every month, otherwise noticed by our chairperson.
